The L.E. Axe
Introducing: The “Light Edition”, or better known as, The L.E. Axe! This little axe is designed to be your little companion along the trail, your little buddy for daily life. Its compact size makes it perfect for carry, but it still packs a punch when it comes to biting off limps, splitting kindling, and the smaller jobs that you just need something handy for. The L.E. Axe has a 10oz. head and a 10-inch handle, so it truly is compact, but ready. The Light Edition. The head is handforged from 4142 Chromoly steel, heat treated to hold an edge and be extremely tough. The poll is also hardened and can be used as a hammer. The overall weight of this axe, including the sheath, is about 18oz.
Handles are made from American Hickory. Choose from three color options: Natural, Chestnut, or Chocolate Brown Hickory, all being oil finished. Each L.E. Axe comes with a handmade leather Standard Belt Sheath, made especially for the axe that it comes with. (Please make sure to note when ordering if you would prefer one of our other custom sheath options.)
For a cool way to keep up with what year model your L.E. Axe is, each head is stamped with the year that the axe was finished. As with all of our Wolf Valley Forge axes, the L.E. Axe comes with a full lifetime warranty and free repairs, if it’s ever needed down the trail.
