The Camp Axe is the largest of all of the Wolf Valley Forge axe models, and this workhorse of an axe is ready for the job! The Camp Axe features a 2.5lb head and a 28-inch handle, making it ready for felling trees, splitting logs, clearing trails, and just about any heavy-duty camp task.
It’s head length is approximately 7-inches, with about 4-inches of cutting edge. The head is handforged from 4142 Chromoly steel, heat treated to hold an edge and be extremely tough. The poll is also hardened and can be used as a hammer.
Its handles are made from that tough and ready American Hickory. You can choose from Natural, Chocolate Brown or Chestnut-dyed handle colors, and all three are oil finished.
The Camp Axe has its own handmade leather sheath, with a snap closure, made especially for the axe that it comes with. We also offer some additional sheath options, which you can check out on our Custom Options page.
For a cool way to keep up with your Camp Axe year model, each axe is stamped with that year under the poll.
