Today we’re here to share with you another of Ike’s videos. In this one, you get to take a visit to the shop and see how he cuts, shapes, fits and finishes each handle to each Wolf Valley Forge axe head! We hope you’ll enjoy.
Thank you so much for stopping by and watching today. Oh, and be sure to leave a comment if you have any questions. We’d love to hear from you! Have a great day out there.
Hey there everyone! Have you seen Ike’s latest video?
In this video, he shares his method and ideas for sharpening and maintaining the edge of your axe. We hope you’ll enjoy and find these tips helpful to keep your Wolf Valley Forge axe in shape and ready for any backwoods adventure!
If you’re interested in the Ceramic Sharpening Rods and Axe Pucks, like Ike uses in the video, you can check them out over under the Sharpeners page. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog. We hope you have a super day!
We hope you’re enjoying this great Tuesday. We’ve had a cool breeze blowing that gives a lovely hint of fall-around-the-corner…
Today I have some pictures to share of two custom Carpenter’s Axes. The one on the left has a Chestnut-dyed Hickory handle with handle Cross-Hatching, Handle Scorching, and a Dark Brown leather sheath. And the Carpenter on the right sports a Chocolate Brown Hickory handle with handle Cross-Hatching and a Dark Brown leather sheath.
You can also see additional pictures and specs for the Carpenter’s Axe model over under the Axe Models page.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. Have a good one!
Have you seen our latest addition at Wolf Valley Forge? I would love to introduce you to the Puck Pouch!
The Puck Pouch is a super cool, waxed canvas bag, made to fit and carry one of our Axe Pucks! Slip in your Puck, fold the flap, secure the tie closure, and it’s ready to drop in your pack or pocket for ready-use.
One plus to having a bag for your Puck is to keep it from scratching other items in your pack or potentially getting chipped. And one other perk: if you’re using water on your Puck for sharpening, just slip it down in a waxed-canvas Puck Pouch, drop it in your pack, and you won’t have to worry so much about it getting other items wet!
We have three colors to choose from, so now you can order a Puck Pouch to match your Wolf Valley Forge Axe handle or Ceramic Sharpening Rod: Natural, Chestnut, and Chocolate Brown!
We’re super excited to offer these Puck Pouches to all of you, designed and made right here at Wolf Valley Forge! To add one of these to your pack, simply order them with an Axe Puck over on the Sharpeners page, or select them in the “Add-Ons” section of the axe order form when placing your axe order to get a matching Puck Pouch.
Oh, and don’t forget to check out this introductory video with Ike!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and we hope you all have a fantastic Friday!
We hope you’re all and enjoying this Summer season. Things have been pretty busy around here, and you may have noticed that the blog has been a little quiet lately. But we’re back and thank you so much for stopping by!
Ike currently has six different axe models that he makes, ranging in purpose and application from bigger jobs to small hand work. The models are The Canoe Axe, The Bush Axe, The Carpenter’s Axe, The Trail Axe (in two handle lengths), The Chipper, and The Timber Pup. You may be wondering about each model, what they’re used for, what’s the difference, and which model is best suited for your need.
For any of you who would like a closer comparison look at each Wolf Valley Forge axe model, I’m so excited to share a video with you today! In this video, Ike tells about each axe and what application they’re best suited for. We hope you enjoy!
Thanks again, and hope you have a wonderful, safe weekend!
I hope you’ve been enjoying this beautiful springtime. Things are greening up, flowers are blooming, and it’s about time to plant the garden. One of these weekends I’m hoping to get out on a canoe trip, but for now I’ve been taking advantage of these beautiful days to get lots of forging in.
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of my customers. I so appreciate your enthusiastic business and support! I love getting notes and pictures from all of you, like this one from Mr. Brian H. Thank you so much for your feedback, Mr. Brian!
Thank you for visiting the blog, and I hope you have a safe weekend! -Ike
Thank you for visiting the blog on this beautiful Wednesday. Today I wanted to let you know about the new handle option that Ike has to offer: and that’s Handle Scorching!
This new option adds a super cool, rustic look that really makes any axe handle stand out!
This custom option is available on any of the axe models, on either a Natural (as shown above left) or Chestnut Hickory (above right) handle.
If you would like to have this option added to your axe, please be sure to mention Handle Scorching in the “Other Custom Options” on the order form. And if you haven’t already, you’re welcome to head over to the Custom Options page to see the other options available, to help you start “building” your axe. Thank you so much for your business!
And thank you for visiting today, and checking out these exciting new additions at Wolf Valley Forge! We hope you have a great day out there.
Hope you and yours are well on this beautiful Friday. Oh, by the way, have you seen our newest product?
