This Nessmuk features a 12-Inch Hickory handle (one of our three handle length options in this model), in the Chocolate Brown color. The sheath is a standard Dark Brown sheath.

Howdy folks! We’re so excited to introduce our brand-new model: The Nessmuk!
This little Double Bit Axe is inspired by the hatchet that George Washington Sears (also known as Nessmuk) wrote about in his book, Woodcraft and Camping. Mr. Sears was famous for an illustration of his three preferred outdoor tools, consisting of a belt knife, a pocket knife, and a double bit. We’re excited to have our own Wolf Valley Forge reproduction of this small axe.
