Howdy folks! We’re so excited to introduce our brand-new model: The Nessmuk!
This little Double Bit Axe is inspired by the hatchet that George Washington Sears (also known as Nessmuk) wrote about in his book, Woodcraft and Camping. Mr. Sears was famous for an illustration of his three preferred outdoor tools, consisting of a belt knife, a pocket knife, and a double bit. We’re excited to have our own Wolf Valley Forge reproduction of this small axe.
You can head over to its model page for more information, pictures, Nessmuk history, or to place an order for your own!
And today we are also offering one of our Nessmuk Axes on the Available Now page! This axe is ready-made, and features a Chocolate Brown Hickory handle.
Thank you all so much for looking, and for your interest in each of our axes! We would love to hear from YOU, and know what you think about our new model.
Happy New Year, folks! We hope you’re having a wonderful start to your year so far. We’ve already had snow here, which is a rare and beautiful treat in the southern states.
As we’ve closed out 2021 and now dive into 2022 we have some things to share today! First off, I’d like to announce that Karmen and I welcomed our first baby girl in 2021! We are so thankful for God’s blessing of this bundle of joy in our lives, and are thoroughly enjoying being her parents.
For a little fun fact – in honor of baby Kristen being born, I decided to do a little something special on each Wolf Valley Forge axe. On each axe made after she was born in July until the end of 2021, I switched the angle of the metal wedge in the top of the handle. After the first of 2022, the wedge went back to the original angle. So all of you folks who have an axe made during that time, you can know you have one of a special collection, in honor of my little girl’s arrival.
Left Shows the Kristen Collection Angle; Right is the Regular Angle
And to close out 2021, we’re also offering some 2021 cancellations as Available Axes today!! These three axes are ready to go. This “clear out” features a Canoe Axe, a Trail Axe, and a Timber Pup, all stamped with the 2021 model date. You can hurry on over to the Available Now page to see if they’re still there…
And one more thing, we’ve got a 2022 Mug design! Just up on the site today, and with an introductory sale price! They’re big, they’re ceramic, they’re brown and beige, and they’re ready to join your mornings. 😉 (they’ve even got a fun saying on the back) You can head over HERE to order yours today. Thank you for supporting our brand!
Once again a special THANK YOU to all of our customers in 2021, and thank you for being here with us in 2022! We’re honored to be a part of your adventures, and honored to get to build USA-made axes for you. Happy New Year!
Hey folks! We’re excited to share a brand-new video release with all of you, giving you a closer look at our new Shoulder Rig-Belt Loop Combo sheath option.
Thank you so much for stopping by the Wolf Valley Forge blog today! Please let us know if we can help you in any way.
Howdy folks! Today we wanted to let you know about a new sheath option here at Wolf Valley Forge!
Most of you are probably already familiar with our Leather Shoulder Rig and Sheath, but we now have a new, upgraded option – The Shoulder Rig-Belt Loop Combo!
This new option offers you the normal cross-body carry as a Shoulder Rig, with the added option of putting your axe on your belt as well.
These removeable belt loops make for easy on and off and handy carry. We are excited to hear what ya’ll think of this new custom sheath option, which can be added to any of our axe models, but we especially suggest it for the Trekker model on down, due to axe size. (though if you would like to tackle carrying your Canoe Axe on your belt, please feel free to add it to your order in the Custom Options section of the order form. 😉 )
You can add this option to your axe order in the order form, or you can check out all of our sheath options and additional costs on the Custom Options page, including our standard Shoulder Rig and Sheath. Thank you so much for checking it out, and please let us know if we can answer any questions!
Howdy folks! We are so excited to introduce our latest axe model to all of you!! Meet the Camp Axe!
We’ve gone up in size this time, bringing you a work horse of an axe that’s ready for heavy duty tree felling, wood splitting, trail clearing, and all that sort of thing.
The Camp Axe has a 2.5lb head and a 28-inch handle.
You can find more information, pricing, etc. over on its own models page HERE. Thank you so much for looking, and please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have.
We can hardly wait to hear what ya’ll think of this new model!!
We hope you all had a great week. We are so excited about something brand-new coming very soon!! Be sure to check back next week, because we can hardly wait to share!
Thank you everyone for your business and encouraging support! We hope you have a safe and awesome weekend out there.
We’ve got a brand-new video up on the channel today, and wanted to let you in on it. You can check these Puck Holsters out over on their page…
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. It’s a wintery wonderland in our neck of the woods…perfect weather for forging. Try to stay warm out there!
Howdy everyone, and happy Friday! We hope your week has gone well.
Have you seen the latest addition around here?
We would like to introduce to you the new Deluxe Puck Holster!
These spiffy little leather holsters are made right here, and designed to carry our Wolf Valley Forge Axe Puck sharpening stones (and also work for other standard-sized pucks).
They have a button stud closure, and a belt loop on the back, so they’re ready to sit right next to your belt axe (or ride in your pack) for easy access.
And they come in Rust and Dark Brown color options, so you can have it match your axe sheath!
If you’re interested in one of these little Deluxe Puck Holsters, you can head over to their own page HERE under the Accessories page. Thank you so much for looking!
We hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend out there.
I hope you and yours are having a wonderful and blessed holiday season this year. I have a very exciting (and big!) announcement to make… I got married!!!
I am so thankful and blessed that God gave me Karmen as the love of my life, a most talented craftsperson and now partner of Wolf Valley Forge. We look forward to serving you together for many, many years to come.
We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, reflecting on our hope in Jesus and the wonders of His love. Even through all the strange times around us, He is the one who gives true joy and peace through it all.
