Happy December and happy Thursday! We have a few pictures to share of a recent custom Timber Pup that was ordered and sent as a gift. We always love seeing what options are chosen, and hearing how these axes are enjoyed.
This Puppy features a Chestnut Hickory handle, and a Standard Belt Sheath in the Rust-color option.
For a personalized touch, the recipient’s initials were inscribed on the sheath. We’re really excited to be able to offer personalization now, so just contact us if you’re interested in having that on your axe or sheath.

We’re popping on this afternoon with a couple pictures of our little Kephart Hatchet.
These little guys are super handy for a carry-along tool. They’re super light (approximately 8-ounce head weight), and can be stuck into backpacks or go-bags for a backwoods adventure.

Today I wanted to share a custom Chipper Axe. This Chipper has a straight handle, without the palm swell, which is something different from the standard model. (our little Kephart hatchet comes standard with its own little straight handle)
Straight-handled axes are sometimes preferred by reenactors, or people who are looking for a more traditional axe look. We’re very happy to make any of our models with that straight handle, so please feel free to ask if that’s something you would like for your axe.
This particular Chipper sports a Chestnut Hickory handle and a Carpenter’s Axe-style sheath in the rust color option.

These leather axe collars are made right here in-shop. They have a tight fit, offering an over-strike protection for your Wolf Valley Forge axe handle.
Each collar is made specifically for its own axe, and stitched on by hand.

We’re back in today with a few custom Bush Axe pictures to share. This particular axe sports several of our custom options.
This is one tricked out Bush Axe.
It’s got a Chestnut Hickory Handle, with Handle Under-Scorching, plus Cross-Hatching, which gives it that added grip as well as a cool look.
Plus, this one came complete with a Rust-Colored Extra-D-Ring Pack Sheath. It’s ready to hit the woods and go to work!

Thank you for stopping by the blog today. We’re here to take a brief overview of the Bush Axe sheath options. Let’s dive in…
First off, each Bush Axe comes standard with the Standard Pack Axe sheath, made of sturdy, quality leather. It has a snap-closure, and is held together by stout copper rivets and burrs. Super cool looking {shown below in a Rust-color}!
Next we have our Custom Sheath options {please see Custom Options page for current additional charge}.
Above is the Extra-D-Ring Pack Sheath. This sheath is like the Standard Pack sheath, but souped up with two brass D-rings. This makes it easy to strap your Bush Axe to your pack or saddle, and be ready for the woods.
Another Custom Option is the Shoulder Rig. The Shoulder Rig features a leather sheath for the axe head, which clips onto an adjustable leather strap for putting over your shoulder or wearing cross-body. This keeps your axe off of your belt, but ready for long carry. {please note: the Shoulder Rig above is pictured with a Chestnut Hickory Trail Axe with Cross-Hatching}
The Bush Axes above are sporting Standard and Extra-D Pack Sheaths. All the sheaths also come with a color option of Dark Brown or Rust colored leather {one Rust is pictured above}, so you have your choice for a super cool combo.
