We’re back on today with some Chocolate Brown Bush Axe close-ups. This was a custom axe, and we think he chose great options!

That handle is a Chocolate Brown American Hickory handle, with the Cross-Hatching custom option. That gives it more handle grip, plus a super cool look. 😉

Happy Monday! We hope you’re having an awesome start to your new week. And with a new week, we’re continuing our Model Spotlight Series. Back with Bush Axe pictures, and more about our handle options…

Our axes come with American Hickory handles {cut, shaped and sanded here in-shop}, and each axe model comes standard with one of the three handle colors above. Top to bottom: Chocolate Brown Hickory, Chestnut Hickory, or Natural Hickory. It’s your choice! 🙂

We also have several handle options to choose from. {Some may have an additional charge, which you can see on the Custom Options page.}

The handles above include, top to bottom:

A Natural Bush Axe

Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. We’re here with Part 2 of our Bush Axe Spotlight Series, and today we’re going to check out a Natural Bush Axe.

This axe has an American Hickory handle, which Ike has shaped, sanded and fit right to the axe head. It’s also been oil finished, to give that added protection to the wood {not to mention that classic look that makes those grains shine}.

This particular custom Bush Axe also boasts an Extra-D Pack Sheath with dark brown leather. The Extra-D Sheath is one of our custom sheath options. Oh, be sure to come by next Friday for more about the sheaths.

Howdy everyone!

We hope you’re all having a fantastic Thursday out there. It’s pretty warm {or can we say, hot?!} and sunny here, but then it is Summertime. 😉

We thought we’d do something a little different on the blog here, and do a model spotlight series! Over the several posts, we’re going to be talking about the Bush Axe, sharing some up-close pictures, and giving you an idea on some of the custom options that we offer. We hope you’ll enjoy!

To kick it off, here are a few specs on the Bush Axe:

{please note that all of Ike’s axes are made unique and special, so yes, measurements do sometimes vary slightly. :)}

Handle Length: 21-inches
Head Length: 6 1/4-inches
Cutting Edge: 3 3/4-inches
Head Weight: about 1 lb. 8 oz.

The Bush Axe is such a multi-use axe! It’s small enough to easily pack along, but it’s also ready-set and large enough to conquer most backwoods, trapline, camping, or homestead tasks thrown its way.

The heads are forged from 4142 Chromoly steel. Oh and yes, the Bush Axe comes with multiple custom handle and sheath options, which we will be exploring in upcoming posts, so stay tuned!

Happy Friday everyone!

Today we’re popping in to give you a look at the Trekker Axe. We were super excited to release this new model to all of you just last month, and now we’re here to give you a close-up look!

The Trekker is that happy in-the-middle between our Bush and Trail Axe models. It has a handle length of approximately 18-inches, making it a super handy size for one- or two-handed jobs. It has a head length of around 6 1/8-inch, and about 3 3/8-inch of cutting edge.
