The Photo Contest
This day has arrived, and we’re ready to announce the WINNER of our 2025 Wolf Valley Forge Photo Contest!! First off, we want to say a huge “THANK YOU!!” to all who participated in this year’s contest! It’s so wonderful and exciting to see each of your photos, and we know they represent time, effort, thought, and adventures! We wish we had a prize for everyone, but please know that we’re so thankful for your photos!
For this contest, we choose the winner using a random name picker. We count up all of the entries based on the categories we set, and enter those into the random drawer to reveal the winner.

Jon Norris is enjoying his Hammer Poll Axe in VA. He shared: “This photo was taken at my dock on the Coan River in Virginia. The Coan flows into the Potomac River near the confluence of the Potomac and Chesapeake Bay. And back in Aug 1812 the Bloody British sailed right up in the area of the photo and then burned down the Northumberland Co. Va. courthouse before sailing up the Washington City and setting fire to the White House.”

A Special “thank you!” to everyone who entered our 2025 Photo contest! We truly appreciate your participation! Hope you enjoy some photos below from previous years’ contests as well.
This contest was not about photography skills, but it was a random drawing for a chance to win a Wolf Valley Forge Axe! We had several categories for photos, including:
- A photo of your Wolf Valley Forge axe. (1 entry)
- A photo of you and your hunting trophy. (1 entry)
- A photo of your Wolf Valley Forge axe with its work (examples – a tree it felled, cutting kindling, a camp setting it assisted with, etc.) (2 entries)
The fine print…1. Please only send one photo per time/setting/event. You can send multiple pictures, but they need to be from different times. 2. Please specify if you don’t want your picture posted on the Wolf Valley Forge site. We may not post every picture, but we have disclosure to, unless otherwise noted. 3. Preferably photos should be fairly recent, at least within the last couple years. 4. International entries are welcome, but shipping charges/fees will apply. Thank you! 5. Last year’s Photo Contest Winner isn’t able to win again this year, sorry! But we’d still love to see your photo adventures and share them on the website!
